Bundles This video-based artwork presents a collection of mounted fabric wrapped bundles, gathered from family belongings passed down through generations. The bundles serve as vessels of history, carrying memories, objects, and the invisible weight of ancestral transitions. Within this accumulation, a human figure, also wrapped and bound, moves slowly, seeking alignment with the existing bundles. The act of positioning themselves adjusting, merging, and becoming indistinguishable suggests a meditation on migration, adaptation, and the dissolution of individual identity into collective heritage.
The bundles, traditionally used for transporting possessions during times of movement, symbolize both security and displacement. The slow bodily movements emphasize the struggle of assimilation, the tension between selfhood and inherited legacy, and the intimate yet overwhelming process of carrying one’s past forward.
